Lush AppLushies can now have their favourite beauty products available at the tip of their fingertips with cult beauty brand Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics’ launch of an iOS and Android App in Canada.

With the Lush App, consumers can browse, explore and purchase the freshest products while on the go. Working in conjunction with Oven Bits, the software design and development team behind Vogue’s mobile app, the Lush app aims to bridge the gap between the retail and digital experience for its customers. It allows users to shop by scent and feeling, search for local store and spa locations, read compelling articles about brand initiatives and discover what products other users are raving about.

If that wasn’t enough for you, in true Lush fashion, this new app creates a fresh, fun and interactive experience for its fan base. With just a single tap, users can search for products based on their favourite scent, such as citrusy or herbal, or based on the way they want to feel, like inspired or relaxed. Users can learn more about a product’s ingredients, get an in-depth look at why they’re used, and what effects they will have on the skin, hair or body.

What’s more, users can also shop other product categories including: what’s new, bath, shower, hair, face, body, gifts, makeup, perfume and spa. The spa category features descriptions of the luxurious treatments offered at the Lush Spas in New York City and Philadelphia and gives users the ability to book an appointment through the app with a simple tap of a button.

“So much of the Lush shopping experience is about touching, feeling and smelling the products, we really see our new app as a way to bridge that gap between retail and digital for our customers,” says Brandi Halls, Lush’s Director of Brand Communications. “Giving our fans the option to shop by feeling really does emulate the sense of being in-store. We are excited that our customers will now have the true Lush experience at their fingertips so they can engage with the brand when and where they want.”

With a fanatical social media following, it only made sense for Lush to also add a social component to the app. The social tab gives users a chance to see what other Lushies are raving about on Instagram and Facebook with the ability to purchase those same products.

For those shoppers who want to visit a Lush store or Lush Spa in person, the shop locater uses the phone’s current whereabouts or a manually-entered postal code to find the nearest location. The app also offers the ability to scan/load store gift cards for payment in store or in app for seamless redemption.
